2007
I love the start of a new year! It is a time of new beginnings and a fresh opportunity to take advantage of all the things that God put's out there for us to seize. I am extremely excited about 2007! I can't wait to see what God has in store!
Devin and I are at the back end of putting together some specific goals to accomplish this year. With that in mind, here are a few books that are already on the reading list for this year...
Simple Church by Rainer and Geiger
In a Pit with a Lion on a Snowy Day by Batterson
Practicing Greatness by McNeal
The Five Dysfunctions of a Team by Lencioni
A New Kind of Christian by McLaren
What a Daughter Needs from Her Dad by Farris
Searching for God Knows What by Miller
Organic Church by Cole
Leaving Church by Taylor
Courageous Leadership by Hybels
Dear Church by Cunningham
Confessions of a Pastor by Croeschel
Letters to an Atheist by Confort
I have already started Simple Church and it is right on! Buy this book for your pastor immediately and give it to him anonymously if you think he will get the wrong idea. I promise you that he needs it and will thank you for it especially if you are a member of the typical Sunday morning, Sunday night, Tuesday night, and Wednesday night kind of church.
